The auto focus works quite well in most lighting conditions, but it can be manually adjusted as well via the software if needed. The image quality remains clear and VERY easy to see. With the camera 3 feet away, the light from my LCD is far more then enough light for this webcam. The image detail and sound quality are both great, as is it's low light capability. Normally, I write much longer and more in depth reviews, but there really is not a lot to say about this camera, other than it works great for most any HD webcam needs.
